Selkirk Stadium Upgrade and Solar

We’re proud to partner with the City of Ballarat on a transformative upgrade at Selkirk Stadium in Norman Street, Wendouree that will elevate the venue experience and deliver long-term value.


This project includes:

  • State-of-the-art CCTV system for enhanced safety and peace of mind.
  • Upgraded electrical infrastructure with new sub-mains and a modern switchboard to power advanced court lighting.
  • Immersive AV system featuring vibrant LED lighting and crystal-clear audio for an engaging spectator experience.
  • Enhanced scoreboards and shot clocks to support more games and high-profile tournaments.
  • A 100 kW solar power solution driving sustainability and reducing operational costs in conjunction with Ballarat Solar Group.


We are proud to be a preferred partner of the City of Ballarat for works such as these and strengthens the commitment of the City to use locally owned and operated businesses in their maintenance projects.

Electrical Upgrade Project – Trewin St Maintenance Depot, City of Ballarat This project involved a comprehensive electrical infrastructure upgrade at the City of Ballarat’s Trewin Street maintenance depot. Works included the replacement and upgrade of the main switchboard and consumer mains, along with the upgrade of the main distribution switchboard and associated sub-boards. These improvements were undertaken to enhance the reliability, capacity, and safety of the site’s electrical systems.

In partnership with Lyons Construction, Matthew Walsh Electrical recently completed a comprehensive electrical fit-out for the Rokewood Community Hub. The project included new social rooms, a commercial kitchen, bar, canteen, and change rooms. Electrical works covered general power and lighting, a MATV system for media, and a high-speed Cat6a data network to support modern connectivity needs.
